Legal Information
This page sets out the legal information relating to this website and to the training services offered through it. It explains who operates the site, how the business is registered in the United Kingdom, what you may and may not do with the material published here, and how the rules that apply to bookings and to data protection affect you. It is written in plain English so that it can be read alongside the contract documents that govern any course you purchase. The page is maintained by the operator and is reviewed whenever there is a change in law, in our business practices, or in the way the website is run. Last updated: 26 October 2026.
1. Identity of the website operator and its role
The website mingleza is owned and operated by mediariffx, a commercial education provider specialising in live production environments. In this notice, the words “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that operator, and “you” refers to any visitor to the website or enquirer about a course.
The role of the operator is the supply of professional training and associated educational materials. We are the seller of the training places advertised on this site, the party responsible for delivering the instruction, and the data controller for the personal information processed through the website, the enquiry form, and the booking process. We are not an agent or intermediary for any third party unless this is expressly stated in the description of a particular course. Where a course is delivered in partnership with a venue or a technology supplier, that fact is disclosed before you commit to a purchase, together with the identity of the partner concerned.
Because we sell training to members of the public as well as to businesses, some of the material on this website is directed at consumers and some at professional buyers. Where a provision applies only to one category of customer, it is identified as such. Nothing on this page limits any statutory right that a consumer has under the law of England and Wales or of the consumer’s country of residence within the United Kingdom.
2. Legal form, registration details, tax identifiers, licences and responsible representatives
mediariffx is a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales. Its non-contact legal identifiers are as follows:
- Company Registration Number: 02867466
- VAT Registration Number: GB 645 085 923
The company is registered with Companies House and is registered for value added tax with HM Revenue & Customs. All prices shown on the website are stated inclusive of VAT where a price is displayed to consumers, and a VAT invoice is issued for every taxable supply on request. Business customers who are entitled to recover VAT receive a valid VAT invoice showing the tax charged separately.
No sector-specific licence, authorisation or permit is required in the United Kingdom for the provision of this type of commercial education and broadcasting-skills training. We nevertheless maintain appropriate professional indemnity and public liability cover, and we comply with health and safety duties in relation to practical training carried out in studios and control rooms, including risk assessment, supervision by competent instructors, and reasonable adjustments for learners with access requirements.
The responsible representatives of the operator are the directors of the company. Their details are filed with Companies House and are available for public inspection in the statutory register. Directors are responsible for the accuracy of the information published on this website and for the conduct of the business as a whole. Where correspondence requires the attention of a named officer, that request should be made through the contact channels described in section 3 below, and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally within five working days.
3. Registered office and available contact details
The registered office of the operator is at Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG. This address is the official address for legal service of documents. Routine enquiries, however, should be sent through the contact form on the Contacts page of this website, which is the quickest and most reliable route and which creates a record of your message.
Where direct contact is required, the following channels are available and are published for use by customers, regulators and professional counterparts alike:
- Email: info@nfts.co.uk
- Telephone: 01494 671234
- Postal address: Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG
Enquiry handling hours are 9:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 14:00 on Saturday, and closed on Sunday and on public holidays in England. Messages received outside those hours are logged and answered on the next working day. When you write to us, please include your booking reference where one has been issued, so that we can deal with your enquiry without asking you to repeat information.
For data protection requests, including requests to exercise the rights described in section 9, please mark your message clearly as a data protection request so that it is routed to the person responsible for information governance and answered within the statutory one-month period. For complaints about a course or about a purchase, please use the same channels and include the date of the training, the course title, and a short description of the issue so that we can investigate promptly.
4. Purpose, scope and intended audience of the website
This website exists to describe and sell professional training courses focused on live production decks and control rooms. The curriculum covers multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and the professional management of television and streaming productions. The site provides course outlines, learning outcomes, delivery formats, entry requirements, scheduling information, pricing, and the means to enrol.
The intended audience includes media professionals updating their skills, aspiring broadcasters and vision mixers, production technicians, students of film and television studies, corporate communications teams, and organisations that run live events or produce streamed content. Content is written for users in the United Kingdom and internationally, and is delivered in English. Some courses assume prior familiarity with production terminology or with a particular control-room workflow; where that is the case, the assumption is stated in the course description so that you can judge your own suitability before booking.
The website is informational and commercial in nature. It is not a news service, it does not publish editorial articles, and it does not host user-generated content. Any figures, timings or technical specifications quoted in course descriptions are indicative of the typical delivery and may be adapted to the equipment available at the venue or to the needs of a particular cohort, provided that the learning outcomes are not reduced as a result.
5. Rules for access to and acceptable use of the website
You may browse the website, print individual pages for your own reference, and submit an enquiry or a booking in good faith. In return, you agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, misleading, harmful or disruptive.
In particular, you must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, to its servers, or to any account or system connected to it;
- introduce viruses, malware, automated scraping tools, denial-of-service activity or any other code or process designed to interfere with the operation of the site;
- copy, republish, resell or systematically extract course descriptions, schedules, teaching materials or other content for a competing commercial purpose;
- submit false booking information, impersonate another person, or make a booking on behalf of someone who has not consented;
- use the site to send unsolicited marketing or to harvest contact details of staff or other users.
We may suspend, withdraw or restrict access to all or part of the website, refuse a booking, or cancel an enrolment where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, or where it is necessary to protect the security of the site, the safety of learners or instructors, or the rights of third parties. Where a booking is cancelled for this reason, the provisions of the Payment and Refund Policy apply. If you become aware of any misuse of the site, please report it through the contact channels in section 3.
6. Ownership and permitted use of website content, trademarks and other intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, course structures, lesson plans, diagrams, photographs of studio and control-room setups, layout, graphics and code — is owned by or licensed to the operator and is protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights recognised in the United Kingdom and under international conventions. The company name, trading name, logo and any course names used on the site are trade marks or trading style of the operator or of its licensors.
You may view the website and make a single copy of individual pages for personal, non-commercial reference. Any other use requires our prior written permission. In particular, you may not reproduce, distribute, communicate to the public, adapt, translate, frame or create derivative works from the content, and you may not use our trade marks in a way that suggests an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.
Teaching materials issued to participants during a course are licensed to the individual attendee for personal professional use only. They may not be shared with colleagues, uploaded to shared drives, used to deliver competing training, or posted on public platforms. Organisations that wish to license course materials for internal training should contact us to discuss a separate written licence. Third-party equipment names, software names and standards referenced in course descriptions remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only.
7. Accuracy, availability and proportionate limitations of liability
We take reasonable care to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date at the time of publication. Course content, schedules, venues, instructors and technical facilities may nevertheless change, and the equipment available in a training studio is not always identical to the equipment in your own workplace. Descriptions are therefore provided as a fair representation of what a course delivers, not as a contractual guarantee that a particular model of hardware, a particular software version or a particular instructor will be used.
We aim to keep the website available at all times, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, security updates, network failures and events beyond our reasonable control may cause temporary interruption. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to the paragraph below, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, or loss of data arising from your use of the website or from reliance on information published on it. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by statute where those terms cannot lawfully be excluded, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales.
Where you purchase a course as a consumer, our liability for the provision of that course is governed by the contract formed at the point of booking and by your statutory rights, which this page does not affect. Where you purchase as a business, liability is limited to the fee paid for the course in question, except in the cases mentioned above.
8. External links and third-party content
This website may refer to third-party products, standards, venues, professional bodies or resources, and may occasionally link to external websites. Such references are provided for convenience and for professional context only. We do not control external websites and we are not responsible for their content, availability, security practices, or the accuracy of any statement made on them.
The inclusion of a link or a reference does not imply endorsement of the third party, and the absence of a link does not imply the opposite. Where you follow a link to a third-party site, you leave our website and any subsequent dealings are between you and that third party, governed by their terms and their privacy practices. We recommend that you review those terms before providing personal data or making a purchase.
Any third-party content that is embedded or reproduced on this site, such as a manufacturer’s technical diagram or a standards summary, is used with permission or under a permitted exception, and remains subject to the rights of its owner. If you believe that material appearing on this website infringes your rights, please contact us with details of the material and of the right relied on, and we will investigate and, where appropriate, remove the material promptly.
9. Data protection, cookies and the related policies that form part of this notice
We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Data is collected only for specified and lawful purposes: administering course enquiries and bookings, delivering training, issuing certificates, handling payments and refunds, meeting accounting and tax obligations, and — where you have given consent — sending information about future courses. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, and the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it.
Cookies and similar technologies are used to support the operation of the site, to remember your preferences, and to measure the performance of pages. Non-essential cookies are set only after consent, which is collected and managed through the site-wide cookie banner, and which you may change or withdraw at any time.
This page forms part of a set of documents that together govern your use of the website and any purchase you make. You should read it alongside the following pages, which are published on this website and are available from the main navigation and the site footer:
- the Privacy Policy, which describes how personal data is collected, used, stored, shared and retained;
- the Cookie Policy, which explains the categories of cookies used and how consent can be controlled;
- the Terms and Conditions, which govern bookings, course delivery, cancellation by us, and the conditions of attendance;
- the Payment and Refund Policy, which sets out accepted payment methods, invoicing, cooling-off rights, cancellation charges and refund timelines.
10. Consumer contracts, cancellation rights and refunds
As a commercial provider of training services we comply with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Before you book, we provide clear information about the content of the course, the total price including VAT, the dates and location of delivery, the identity of the provider, and your cancellation rights.
Where a booking is made at a distance, a consumer normally has a fourteen-day cooling-off period during which the contract may be cancelled without giving a reason. This right does not apply once a course has been delivered in full, and it may be lost where the course is scheduled to begin within the cooling-off period and you have expressly requested that delivery start early. Cancellation charges, transfer options, no-attendance rules and refund processing times are set out in full in the Payment and Refund Policy, which forms part of the contract between us and for which this page is not a substitute.
11. Applicable law, competent courts and consumer dispute rights
This notice and your use of the website are governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with the website or this notice.
If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own part of the United Kingdom, and nothing in this page removes that option. Before starting formal proceedings, we ask you to raise the matter with us directly using the contact channels in section 3, so that we have a fair opportunity to resolve it. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and to give a substantive response within twenty working days. Consumers may also seek advice from Citizens Advice or, in relation to data protection, from the Information Commissioner’s Office; nothing in this page restricts your right to use alternative dispute resolution where it is available.
12. Contact route, changes to this page and last-updated statement
Enquiries about this legal information page, requests for company documentation, and formal notices should be directed through the contact form on the Contacts page of this website, or by using the email, telephone or postal channels listed in section 3. Where email or phone is used, please quote any booking reference so that your message can be matched to the correct record.
We may update this page from time to time to reflect changes in the law, in our registration details, or in the way we operate the website. The current version is the one published on this page, and the date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of the page. Where a change is significant, it will be highlighted here. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice; if you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the site.
This page was last updated on 26 October 2026. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Terms and Conditions and the Payment and Refund Policy, all of which are available on this website.
